All Kidde Fyrnetics mains hard wired alarms have SMART INTERCONNECT feature i.e. can connect to each other & uniquely their hard wired CO alarms too.

Interconnectability

All Kidde AC Smoke and Heat Alarms have this feature, and means that any alarm interconnected, will also sound in the event of one sensing fire.
In practice this can provide those vital extra seconds for the family upstairs to escape, if the alarm downstairs has detected a fire in the lounge area.
In a commercial environment every detector is connected back to a panel. In residential applications alarms need no central panel, as they can be linked directly to each other.
